Welcome to the Lakeview Elementary PTA Website!
Message from the PTA President
Welcome everyone to a new school year at Lakeview Elementary, a Blue Ribbon School. If you're a returning Lakeview family we're glad to see you back and if you're new to Lakeview then we are delighted that you have joined our school.
Lakeview is a Blue Ribbon group of teachers, staff members, students and parents and we look forward to meeting all of you throughout the year. If you should have any questions about the school or are looking for ways that you can help, please contact anyone of the officers listed or the school directly.
We are so glad that you decided to drop by the Parent-Teacher Association Website. This site will offer you information on volunteer opportunities, information about events at school, and much more!
Become a member of the PTA!
Joining the Parent Teacher Association benefits your child and also helps Lakeview Elementary! Here are just a few ways that one person can make a difference:
Get Connected: There's no better way to know what's happening in our school and helping us to maintain the Blue Ribbon status.
Discover Great Resources: The PTA offers a variety of volunteering opportunities for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins as well as children. You are the person that can make a difference!
Tap into a Network: Parenting is not easy - it helps to share ideas, concerns, and experiences with other parents and educators in our community. Lakeview's PTA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, build rapport, make friends, and develop further relationships within the community.
Speak Up: Because the PTA is a forum for exchanging ideas, you are encouraged to make suggestions and be a part of everything going on that can benefit your child. The PTA can be a way for you to more effectively suggest change, add wise words of experience and positively affect the school.
Be a Role Model: By becoming a PTA member, you'll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education.
Did you know: Lakeview’s Academic Performance Index (API) is directly affected by our students tardies and absences. Let’s do our best this year to get to school on time and avoid any unnecessary absences.
Sincerely,
Holly Whitmore
